I’m Sarthak Jariwala.

I'm a Staff Software Engineer at Swift Solar, where I lead and build production AI agents that accelerate scientific R&D. Prior to that, I was a Staff and Senior Software Engineer at Twelve and a Research Scientist at Palo Alto Research Center (Xerox PARC).

I have 9+ years partnering with scientific R&D teams across materials science, chemistry, and manufacturing; translating ambiguous scientific workflows into reliable software and agent systems. My work spans agent architectures, context engineering and evaluation pipelines, and reliable software and data platforms that underpin them.

I hold a PhD in Materials Science (Data Science) from the University of Washington, Seattle. I have published across AI/ML (NeurIPS), software (ACM), and chemistry/materials science (Joule, ACS Energy Letters, Science Advances, ACS Nano, and more) with 1,890+ citations on Google Scholar.
